Hi All, As you may or may not be aware the Zebrafish scientific meeting has been scaled back to being biannual for a while. This is not going to affect the Aquatic Symposium. 2019 will see us running the Symposium, on the 4th to 6th of February. We are approaching potential Keynote speakers currently and are expecting to have a great line up of presentations. Watch this space! Information will be posted as it comes to hand. If you are not already on the ANZAAP mailing list, please either respond to this thread, or flick an email to me at secretary@anzaap.org.au and I will ensure that you recieve all the news. We can't wait to tell you more.. We think it's going to be our best yet. Cheers, Bruce.

So the updated news for the Symposium: We have confirmed the following international Keynote Speakers. Bret Grasse from Woods Hole who will be speaking to the subjects of Cephalopod care, nutrition, breeding and use as a research and display animal. Zoltan Varga from Zirc who will be speaking to nutrition in Zebrafish, and the important role and services that Zirc provides to the research community. Carrie Carmichael from Stower's Institute of Medical Research who will be speaking to and leading a wet lab on the latest advances in cryopreservation and IVF in zebrafish. There is a bus trip organised for the day prior to the conference beginning for those who would like a chance to see the Great Ocean Road. The bus trip will be deliberately under subscribed to ensure that there is room to move around on the bus and that the trip will be as comfortable as possible. Conference venue is Deakin University's awesome Waterfront Campus in the converted historic woolstores for the first tw days and the third day being hosted on the Deakin Waurn Ponds campus. For the first time this year, there will be a second stream running on the 3rd day in conjunction with the wet lab. Elasmobranchs 101 will be led by Dr Rob Jones. Head on over to the conference specific website at www.deakin.edu.au/anzaap2019We look forward to seeing you there!
