Hi all,
We are currently troubleshooting elevated levels of iron in our 3 zebrafish systems and copper in one system in our aquatic facility. We currently have 2 Zebtec standalone systems and one new multilinking system.
We have tested the RO water which doesn’t have elevated levels of iron or copper. We are now investigating zebrafish feeds as a possible source of contamination, and have so far found a slight amount of iron in our granulated feed (0.08ppm - with about 6 clicks of feed added to approx. 350ml distilled water)
Our water quality testing results from the past couple of days are as follows:
System 1 Copper Test 1: 0.07 Test 2: 0.11 Test 3: Low Iron Test 1: 0.62 Test 2: 0.22 Test 3: 0.77
System 2 Copper Test 1: Low Test 2: 0.04 Iron Test 1: 0.34 Test 2: 0.54
System 3 Copper Test 1: Low Test 2: 0.80 Iron Test 1: Low Test 2: 0.54
This morning we have realised our Sani pump was switched off, and full. We have since turned it back on. We are unsure as to whether this may have impacted levels also.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Kind regards, Steph

Hi Steph, Could you please explain what the Sani pump is? Cheers, Bruce.
