Hi Everyone!
The MDIBL "Laboratory fish health and welfare symposium" that is usually held in Bar Harbour Maine, will this year be moving to a two day online event.
August 11 & 12 (U.s. Eastern time zone)
Further details will be sent out soon by email, but for the moment, please see below communication from Christian Lawrence:
If you would like an opportunity to present at this event, please contact Chris on clawrence@enders.tch.harvard.edu
Hi All,
Just a quick update on this event:
It's really starting to take shape. Here's what we have so far:
Lynne Sneddon will be the keynote, speaking about fish analgesia and welfare
For long form talks we have confirmed (or at least "soft-confirmed"):
Lauren Pandolfo
Tannia Clark
Greg Paull
Carole Lee
George Sanders
Dante D'India
Michelle Altemara
Erik Sanders
Mike Kent
For short form (flash) talks we have confirmed (or at least "soft-confirmed"):
Jared Rouchard
Diana Baumann
Maurine Hobbs
Joanna Monteiro
Stephen Frederickson
Michael Esmail
Susan Farmer
Rory Francis
Kalidas Kohale
Bruce Newell
If I have made an error with any of the above, let me know. Like I said, it's "soft" confirmed, not yet set in stone.
Soon I will be reaching out for titles and bio info for the website/schedule. We will also have a short logistical meeting probably a week before to go over details.
We have space for at least 3-4 more 15 minute talks and 2 more flash talks. Having more people than we can fit into the schedule is a problem I would rather have than not having enough, so please, if you are interested in talking, let me know. It does not have to be COVID related. Certainly it can be, but it's not necessary. What's most important is that if you have something you think is worthwhile sharing with the community (research studies, management experience, updates, case studies, surveys, etc.). Diverse topics are good.
We will also foster discussion with round tables and panels interspersed between sessions.
All info will be recorded and available on a course/meeting website.
Tuition assistance is available, so if/when you register, please indicate as such if appropriate.
Please spread the word across your networks. Registration site is here: mdibl.org/course/hcmlf-symposium-2020/
thanks all,
Chris
